Printer resolution issue

After I've changed (decreased) printer resolution the text in publication had been reformatted, producing extra ~20 pages. Is it behaviour by design? How output device resolution can affect text layout?? Is there a way to return publication to it's former size?

No, this is not by design, no way does Publisher arbitrarily add 20 pages to a
file. Is your printer driver current?

Yes, that's default printer.

Go to the manufacturer's web site of your printer model and look around for an
updated driver. For example,
www.hp.com

If you are hesitant, post your printer model and Windows version and we will
help.
