printing 1200dpi files

Hello,

I am using the trial version of Publisher 2007. I like it a lot. But a
problem has surfaced. When I tried to print or print-preview pages that
have 1200 dpi bitmaps on them, the images with either not display, not print
or both. If I reload those same images as 600dpi files, the problem goes
away.

Everything was working fine for a while. But once I launched the file from
My Documents rather than opening Publisher and then opening the file. Ever
since then I've had this problem. Sometimes the 1200 dpis will print,
sometimes not.

I can have a 60 page file with lots of 600dpi files, and it will display,
preview and print fine. But if I have even a small project with a few 1200
dpi files, the problem surfaces.

I'm thinking the software might have become corrupted or knocked out of
alignment when I launched the file directly. The cause-effect is almost too
hard to ignore. I'm thinking about reinstalling the demo software. But I
don't want my trial period to expire early.

Any ideas on this problem? I've tried all the usual things like changing
the printer settings, etc.

What printer model are you using? Are the images scans? In print setup, click
the advanced printer settings button, printer details, page settings tab, clear
Crop marks and Bleed marks. Does this help?

This is the third post on the same issue from you. Posting it again (and
again and again) will not change the fact a 1200 dpi picture is probably too
large for your printer to handle.

try cropping the 1200 dpi image prior to using it in pub..in otherwords if
you're resizing it in pub don't; leave it at 1200 dpi and crop it to the
size you need outside of pub with an image editor.

maybe it will help.

Have you looked to see if there is a newer version of your printer's driver?

I've tried that, doesn't help. Sometimes I test it by simply
importing a few 1200dpis onto a few pages and without any resizing or
anything.
