Printing 8 x 10 photo

How do I print a jpeg file as an 8 x 10 photo and keep a clear image? I can
see the individual dots even though I chose 4800 dpi.

You start with an image file of sufficient resolution to support printing an
8" x 10" image. For such an image, you need at least 3 megapixels. You did
not mention what applications you are using. Check your manual of help file
on resolution requirements for various size prints.
