Printing from MSOffice2003

I have loaded MSOffice2003 onto my IBM laptop (Win XP) into a separate
folder (MSOff2003) and not over my existing MS Office 2000.
I have a shared printer (Brother MFC9070) which is on a two station network
with the other PC acting as printer server.

I cannot now get this laptop to recognise this printer. It will not print
emails/internet. It will print from WORD2003 but, after an inordinate
delay, I have to detail it to print on the Brother although it is detailed
as 'default'.

Help please!
