Printing Gannt chart

M

Mary jane

Okay I know I'm gonna feel like a dummy, BUT I just want to print my Gannt
chart without the timeline and I can't seem to figure out how. I've selected
just what I want, tried different views etc. and I still print the gannt
(very small) next to a timeline. Why do I have so much trouble in this
program? And don't say it, I signed up for a class already, but immediately
I need to print the tasks and estimated dates alone by tomorrow (no reports
have what I need either)

Thanks!

There are two ways to accomplish this:

1. Pull the vertical split bar all the way to the right to hide the Gantt
Chart portion of the Gantt Chart view.
2. Click View - More Views - Task Sheet and print the Task Sheet view.

The Task Sheet view contains the same Table (set of columns) found in the
Gantt Chart view, but contains no Gantt Chart on the right. Hope this
helps.

Hi Maryjane,

I am not sure if I understand exactly what you are trying to do. If you
just want to print the tasks without the gantt chart there is a Task sheet
view you can use. If you are trying to print without the timescale appearing
at the top of the gantt chart then you have more of a problem.

I'm using Project 2000, I can remove the minor scale by selecting minor
scale units None in the timescale config dialogue (right mouse click over the
timescale).

Unfortunately, you cannot do the same for the major scale. The only way I
could stop it from showing in a print-out was to set the font to white. It
is a second-rate work-round but it's all I could come up with. (There are
some pretty smart people in this forum, maybe someone can come up with a
better solution for you :) )

Thanks Dale, I tried moving the scroll bar and it wasn't working. Your
second suggestion, however, worked great, I went to task sheet view and got
what I needed.
