Printing notes on Gannt Chart

A

Anita

I want to print notes on my gannt chart but the notes I want to print are
quite long (I'm currently using text boxes which is a nightmare for obvious
reasons!) Problem is, the notes don't wrap round - any ideas?

v2000 and 2003
thanks

YOur choices appear to be a text box on the Gantt chart, or, insert the notes
field as a column on the left pane. Doing the latter limits your display to
255 characters or to the first carriage return in the note.

You might try creating your note in a third party application and save it as
an image like gif, bmp, jpg. Then, paste the object like clip art. You
could do it in Word, use screen clipping software (like One Note, or Snag it)
and then paste from your clipboard.

Hi Jim
Thanks for replying. Could I paste the object like clipart so it attaches
itself next to the bar on the Gantt chart? Really what I want is for the
note to move if the bar moves too.

Anita,

Another simple idea would be to format your notated bar with the notes field
at a side, probably the right. Of course you would need to be brief. If a
longer explaination is needed it could be on a seperate piece of paper.

That's my problem - the notes aren't brief which is why they need to wrap
round onto multiple lines.
