Printing labels in 2007

Rich W.

I just upgraded a user to a new laptop. This laptop has Windows XP with MS
Office 2007. Generally, things are going pretty well, except for the label
wizard.

If he's in a document with a list of addresses, selects the address he wants
to print an Avery Label for and goes to the "Mailings" tab, then clicks on
the "Labels" button, the dialog box comes up, as it should, with the
name/address in the "Address" box.

He then hits the "Print" button, and the label is sent to the printer. The
label prints out with about the left 1/2" cutoff. A better way to put it is
that the print is against the left side of the label as it should be, but the
it starts approximately 1/2" into each line. (He's has two printers, both of
which he's tried; an HP LJ 4050 and HP Business Inkjet 2600.)

It's as if the printer is trying to print 1/2" to the left side of the label.

BUT, if, he chooses "New Document" instead of the "Print" button, he brings
up a new document based on his choosen label size, it works fine. He enters
the address into the label and prints it, everything is as it should be.

Has anyone encountered this problem and found a solution?

Thank you,

Rich
