Printing Labels in Publisher

R

R.

Trying to print several labels on one page with different
addresses but page only shows one label and then whole
pagesprints out same address. Can anyone help ASAP since
Miscrosoft wants to charge a charity $35.00 for tech
support on this?

You will have to setup your labels manually if you are going to edit each one, no way
can you use a merge and an edit too. What you need to do is add a field in your
database with the tag you want to add with each individual.

The offending item is a digital photograph of each nametag recipient; can you think of someway around this?

Are you using the Catalog Merge in Publisher 2003 to get the images in?
Can you give us the steps that you are using?

I am not using the "Catalog Merge", but normal "Mail Merge". Specifically, I created a source document of an ID card with fields for name, division, etc. and a piece of clip-art as a placeholder for a digital picture of the individual. I was unable to find anyway of inserting the pictures into my MS Excel (2003) data-source; therefore I performed the merge into a seperate document and changed the placeholder clip-art with the correct photos manually.

Publisher 2003 does not merge from pictures embedded in the data source.
You create a field containing the path of the image on the hard drive, and
Publisher replaces that with an image.
The Catalog Merge does what you want better than the Mail Merge, IIRC.

To list your picture files automatically for the Catologue Merge in
Publisher, there is this excellent freeware utility:

What exactly should go in the cell?

The exact path to the image.
Say, for instance, that the images are stored in a folder on the root of the
E: hard drive named JimBob, and one of the images was called McCoy.png
The path for that particular datum would be:
e:\JimBob\McCoy.png

The CIA are planting hidden cameras in your cookies, biscuits, and other
sweet edible items.
Therefore, it is the CIA that is spying on you, and not the cookies.

Ed, we always knew there was something wrong with you other than senile
dementia.
Now we can see you are also mentally delusional.

I think it's more to do with having a nickel tongue and a large
