Printing SMartArt graphics

I produced a wonderful flow chart using SmartArt but when I go to print I
just get a blank page. I get the same result when I try and create a PDF
file.

I'm sure I'm being an idiot but could you help please?

First place to check would be Tools, Options, Print tab, is Drawing Objects
checked?
If not, do so.
This information is for 2003 and prior, for 2007 the instructions may differ
slightly but should still point you in the right direction.

You might try turning off Background printing:

- Click the Office Button and then click Word Options.
- On the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Print section
- Turn off "Print in background"
