Printing to the edge of the page in Publisher

I recently bought a new printer HP Photosmart C6280 that HP promised would
print to the edge of the page. I was working in a Publisher 2000 program and
I got it to print borderless. Now I have another computer with Publisher 2003
installed and it will not print borderless. It leaves about 1/8 inch on 2
edges. I've read some other questions and comments regarding this problem and
noted one other person had the same problem when switching from an older
Publisher program to a newer one. Does anyone have any solutions? I can't do
the bleed idea because the printer won't hold a larger piece of paper.

Is it possible that the project you are printing is
a slightly different size that your paper size?
The following excerpt is directly from the
HP Manual:

"NOTE: In order to resize your original without
changing the proportions or cropping the edges,
the HP All-in-One might leave an uneven amount
of white space around the edges of the paper."

The manual also states in several locations that
Photo Paper is required for borderless printing.

In case you do not have the manuals...they are
downloadable in .pdf form from the following link:

I've read where you need to designate photo paper for some borderless printing.
I suspect the printer doesn't care if the stock is photo paper or not, just as
long as photo paper is selected. With my older printer I have to save a
Publisher file as a picture and use the printer software to print borderless.

Hi Mary,

That's possible but I would suspect if you selected
photo paper when using regular paper you might
have a soggy mess. Anyway...it may be worth a try.

Saving as a picture is certainly worth a try.
