PRINTS to PDF ALWAYS END IN AN ERROR

Hi,

I have just transferred from old PC to new PC. I installed programs
(including OfficeXP Professional and Acrobat 5.0 + 5.05 upgrade) on the new
PC, and successfully transferred all my documents.

However, on this new PC, EVERY time I print from Office (normally Word or
Excel) to PDF, I get an error message just after the PDF file has been
produced.

ALSO .... I have noticed that in WORD the two little Acrobat icons and the
Acrobat pull-down menu have NOT been installed in OfficeXP.

Before (!) answering: yes I have installed both Office and Acrobat from the
same installation disks as I use on my old PC, and I have installed the same
components of the products. In all other respects both products are working
fine.

I have tried fully removing Acrobat and reinstalling from scratch - but no
luck! I still get exactly the same problem.

This is a real nuisance, as EVERY time I print to PDF, I have to "cancel"
the stuck print in the Acrobat print queue, or the next PDF file never gets
produced! (Next print gets stuck behind first etc.).

Please note that the Acrobat icon in Word to "convert" a document to PDF
does work. But that's the PDFMaker conversion. My problem is that I can't
*print* to PDF without this spurious error message. I have other software
products where I need to be able to create PDF files, by printing to the
Acrobat printer.

Does anyone have an answer please?

Hi, whiter,

What is the error message you are receiving?

I know this will sound like a cop out, but honestly, if everything else in
Word seems to be working fine, I'd contact Adobe first to get support on
their add-in for Word.
