Problem inserting .avi file into power point presentation

I am desperately trying to produce a presentation which needs some video clips inserted.

That's great... but what's your question ;) ?

Do you have the video clips?
Where did they come from?
Having problems inserting them into powerpoint ?
They won't play ?
