Problem linking a project to a consolidated project

Will Park

When linking a project into a consolidated project, I get the error dialog "A
project can be inserted only once in a consolidated project. Select a
different project to insert". I am absolutely certain that this project and
others do not already exist in the consolidated project, but the error
condition persists. Any suggestions?

Hi Will,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

What happens if you create a new master and insert the project? Do you have
a resource pool project? Is each project set to share resources from the
pool? Do you get the same message if you insert other projects, or only
this one?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
