Problem opening a pdf file in outlook e-mail attachment

I use outlook 2000 e-mail.

When I try to open a pdf attachment it looks like the
adobe acrobat reader is not linked. I in a a note pad
instead of the acrobat reader.

Is there a link I have overlooked. I just updated to
acrobat reader6.0.

Any help will be appreciated.
