problem with pdf creation

Good morning,
at the moment I'm using Microsoft Word for Windows 97 and Acrobat Distiller
4.0

I have a problem with the pdf creation of some Word pages where I inserted
previusly two images partially overlapped ( I used the command transparency
of the images).

But when I make the Pdf file I lose the images overlapping and I see only
one image where the two images intersect.
