Yuck. Some people on the phone really don't know what they are talking
about. Tech support for Office 2007 did start, so they should answer
your questions.
Something is screwed up and Microsoft is investigating...

Well... this just gets better!
We have an MYO with Software Assurance. Today, I downloaded Office 2007
Suite. The key wasn't on our license page. So I called Microsoft. Was told
that I would need to speak to product activation to get the keys. I did
this, and an email arrived with the Office 2007 key on it. Tried to install
using the key, and it failed. Telephone product activation again and was
basically told they couldn't help, and that I would have to speak to
Technical Support. Eventually, when they found my company's details, they
told me there is no telephone support currently for Office 2007. What's
more, they told me to speak to my IT department... I am the IT manager so
that's no good!
I suspect nobody at Microsoft knows why the keys aren't working, or how to
fix it... So, the question is, how can I use Office 2007? Answers welcomed!
Dave (rather unhappy IT manager after being sent all over the place today!).

Patrick Schmid said:For now the only thing you can do is call Microsoft.
Btw, there is a new key for Visio/Project on MSDN.

Ik have the same problems when activating Project, OneNote and InfoPath (the
others - Visio, Groove activated fine). Tried yesterday and today, no change.
:
I just reproduced this issue here. Phone activation got me around the
problem though.
I've escalated it to Microsoft so that they can look into this.

All,
Downloaded Office Suite, Visio, OneNote and Infopath from Technet Plus area
last night. Installed on two of my machines. When I tried to activate my
copy of Infopath I was told I had exceeded the maximum number of activations
allowed. It appears Infopath and OneNote share same product key but doesn't
differentiate among products. Anyone else having problems yet?
Thanks,
Rick
