Problems creating subweb

I have a website on my C drive and when I try to create a subweb I get the
following message: The folder "C:\My Documents\My Webs\sccaweb" is
contained by a server based Web. To access this Web you must use the
http://url for the web server.

I thought the site on my C drive was a local web only. Why am I getting
this message and what can I do about it.

You are apparently using a server based web on your local pc, not a
disk-based web.

You would open your local server based web in FP by going to File | Open
Site, and inputting http://localhost, or http://whateveryourmachinenameis
