Problems Publishing in Project 2007

I am attempting to publish a project file to our server, and it continues
giving me the error:

"The Project workspace cannot be provisioned for this project. The site
where the project is to be provisioned appears to be invalid. Please retry
after correcting the site URL."

I'm attempting to publish to the Project Web Access server
http://servername:46868. I sniffed the network traffic, and the server is
returning a ValidateProjectWorkspacePathResult of 2. There's no further
information on the IIS logs, and I can't find any information on this error.
Please help.

Check the length of the project name, the project workspace URL
respectively. I read that the number of characters in the URL cannot exceed
100 for some reason. This is probably a bug...

I would also recommend removing blanks from the URL.

Try changing the default site name before publishing. For example if
your plan name begins with an underscore, a site will not be created.

I appreciate the help, but I don't believe it is a problem with my project
name. It is ITSC_2007_Plan. I've changed it to several variants to no avail.
