I can't install Office home and student 2007, there a message
C:\swsetup\off03tri\pa561401.cab what can I do ?

like to relate to the folks the steps and software installations leading
up to this predicament?

I had this same issue, tried everything and nothing worked. So I thought
that maybe the Office 2003 version that came with the pc (and I never
activated) was locking out that file and creating the issue.

So I uninstalled that old version that was never activated, then installed
office home and student 2007 and it worked!
