Problems uninstalling trial Office 2003

I am having a problem uninstalling the trial Office 2003. I did the
uninstall, my computer said it uninstalled, but it is still installed!! I
tried installing Office Student edition, and it said it was installed, but
the add/remove programs advises me it's still the Standard Edition, and a pop
up window advises me I need to register the Standard Edition...
Note: no error notes are showing.
