I have had to use a restore disc on my new computer
because of software problems. But I can't restore Office
because Microsoft fails to recognize the Product Key.What
do I do?

1. Make sure you are reading the product key correctly. Common errors are
mistaking 8 for B, I for 1, 5 for S, etc.
2. Make sure you don't have two copies of the same version of Office
installed. For example, your system restore disks may contain a Trial
Version of Office 2003, and you may be trying to install another copy of
Office 2003.
3. If your system restore disks contain Microsoft Office, then you must
have an OEM copy of Office that was preinstalled by the manufacturer of your
computer. Contact your computer manufacturer for a new product key.
