I am trying to input the product key from the activation assisant but when i
select the option to input key it just launces the word programe and brings
up a blank document?

Hi There,

You looks like office installation is gone corrupt, consider
removing office 2007 manually and reinstall office 2007, test.

Try KB 903275 - How to troubleshoot problems that you may experience when
you try to activate an Office product

Follow KB 928218 to manually uninstall office 2007.
