We have a problem with the Office 2003 Profile Wizard, does anyone know a
workaround.
We import/export our users Outlook 2003 settings using proflwiz.exe so that
users can move between Citrix/Laptop's/PC's (please don't mention roaming
profiles, they will not create a whole load of other issues!), this works fine
so long as only Outlook 2003 is open.
If however a user has another Office application option, proflwiz.exe won't
export the settings if it's being run in quiet mode. If I use the /e prompt to
report errors, it prompts to either close the other office app, cancel the
export or ignore the running app and export anyway.
Two points from this:
1. Is there a command line that does the equivelent of "Ignore" described above
2. Why on earth does it prompt to close apps when exporting settings. It
doesn't prompt to close if importing! Surely this behaviour is the wrong way
round!
