I get the following message: "MS Project is attempting to use a web page
from the site gbui://mainpage.htm/. You have not identified this site as a
trusted site in Internet Explorer."

I reinstalled the software. Same error message every time I open the
program. Any ideas?

Hello Albie,

I guess you are using Project Server. So, in Internet Explorer, go to the
Tools menu:
Tools / Internet Options... / Security / Trusted Sites
and add the URL of you server in the trusted sites list

Hope this helps,

Hi Albie,

In which case, next time, try posting on the server newsgroup. Please see

Thank you for the response. No, I am not using Project Server. It is a
standalone installation. I did enter the url as you suggested. But, the
workspace is blank. I do not see any of the views. If I open a new project,
the workspace is still blank. Any other thoughts?

Hi JulieS,

Thank you for jumping in. I followed the instructions of the Knowledge Base
Article, which was to reinstall XP Service Pack 2. That did the trick.

Thank you so much. Now, I can get some sleep.
