Proj 2003 - Moving subordinate tasks breaks links

I can't seem to find an answer to this one ...

I create a predecessor/successor relationship between two tasks, and see the
task number in the Predecessor column in the subordinate task. All's right
with the world. I then simply drag the successor task above the predecessor
task on the list. The predecessor/successor link is broken.

Is this a feature?

Go to Tools > Options > Schedule, and uncheck the Autolink inserted or moved
tasks box.

The "feature" you observe occurs whenever you drag a task from within a
series of linked tasks to either the row above or the row below the first or
last linked task. Project does not know how to autolink such a task, so it
deletes all its links.

Hi,

Conclusion: put autolink off!
Tools, Options, Schedule, Autolink inserted or moved tasks OFF.
