Proj2002 bug: Task roll-ups

O

One too many

This is a repeatable bug across my project.

I have a project which I am working backwards from a deadline, so the tasks
are all set to "As late as possible". The tasks are put at one point in
time, but the task roll ups dates seem to default to now.

Example:
- Task Summary 40 days 1/4/2005 10/5/2005
Task item1 20 days 1/8/2010 20/8/2010
Task item2 20 days 21/8/2010 10/9/2010

(note the summary dates do not match the task item dates)

Any ideas if there is a fix for this problem?

Thanks

I can't duplicate your problem.

Begin new project.
Set schedule from finish (really really a bad idea to do this anyway but
that's a different issue).
Set project finish to 10 Sep, 2010
Enter three tasks - Summary, A, and B.
Leave Summary's duration at 1 day?, set A and B duration to 20 days
Link A & B FS
Indent A & B

Mine shows the result after the above steps:
Summary, 40 days, 19 July through 10 Sep
A, 20 days, 19 July through 13 Aug
B, 20 days, 16 Aug through 10 Sep

No dates were entered except for the project end date in the project
information dialog. Project calendar is standard 8-12 / 13-17 M-F schedule.

How does what I did, step by step, differ from what you did?
