I have a user that has about 4 or 5 Microsoft Project files that have the
info in the Task Name column, not appear in all the rows after row 50 or so.
They all dissappear starting at different rows.

Sounds like corruption. First lets confirm its the PC and not the files. Do
the files open OK on another PC? if not, then there is file corruption. Save
to Excel or xml or mpx then re-open and save to mpp again.

If the files are OK on another PC, does Project 2000 have SP2 installed? If
not install it. If they do repair the installation. If that fails, uninstall
Project, reboot re-install.

Good luck!!

rke5858,
First, make sure the font color is something other than white. Second,
make sure the outline level hasn't simply "pushed" the task name out of
view. Third, make sure there are no leading spaces in the task names.
Fourth, make sure you have the SR-1 update for Project 2000 installed.

Beyond the above items, the files may have some corruption. If that is
the case, go to our MVP website at,
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, and take a look at FAQ 43 -
Handling project file corruption and/or bloat.

Rod,
As far as I know, Project 2000 never had a SP2 update. Perhaps you are
thinking of Project 2003. Project 2000 only had the SR-1 update.
