Project 2003 and Project 2002 co-existence

Jon Smith

I've installed Project 2003 on a computer with Project
2002 (both professional versions) and used the custom
install.

Now when I try to publish a plan to Project Server 2002
within either version, I get the message "An error
occurred while trying to access Project Server - could be
caused by 1) low memory, 2) some components not installed,
3) Some components could be installed"

This occurs with no other applications running and I chose
all of the options when I was installing.

Can Project 2002 and Project 2003 peacefully co-exist?

No. There is not a good way to make this happen. Sorry. You would need
to use a second machine or use a Virtual PC type application to install
the other version.
