Project 95 & Windows XP compatibility

I just upgraded my computer operating system from Windows
ME to XP. All is well except that Project 95 crashes
whenever I attempt to edit an existing Project file.
Have the same problem on another XP computer too.
Windows has searched online for updates for Project and
found none. Have run the Program Compatibility Wizard
and tried different compatility settings for Project with
no success.
Help, I don't want to go buy the new version of Project!

Project 95 hasn't been supported now for some time. Even Project 98 is not
longer supported. There have been a lot of improvments since the Project 95
days and sooner of later you'll need to upgrade. Did you know MSP 95 was
really just the 16 bit version for Windows 3.1 recompiled? If the upgrade
to 2002/2003 is a bit steep in price for your budget, take a look at eBay
and you can get a copy of 2000 pretty inexpensively.
