Project guide

I would like to change the guide to a specific number of questions on a
template. Where can I find info on making changes to the project guide side
pane.

A quick search of the MSDN site didn't turn up any specific references
to Project 2007, but below is the URL to "Project Guide 101" with a
series of articles about the Project 2003 Project guide.
