Project Server 2003 with Windows server 2000 Capabilities

I work at a small company looking to start using MS Project, most
likely the professional. Now I have been reading at MS website that
for some of the capabilities will not work because I am running a 2000
server and you need sharepoint. Is this correct? What will we be
losing with a 2000 server running Project server 2003?
