Project Server 2007 in a workgroup

Has anybody done this.
We have a project server in a workgroup (out of some legal reasons) and we
want to connect users from our domain to that.
This does not work. Also our consultant cannot help us here.
Has anybody of you folks done this and bring it work?

Hi Werner,

This is an infrastructure issue, as your Project Server is not in a works
group it cannot trust users that exist in the domain, therefore your users
will have to be authenticated to the workgroup - this will involve
replicating each user from the domain onto the local server. If you keep the
username and password the same on each then you might be able to use passthru
authentication.

another option to consider is to set Project Server in a Forms
Authentication mode. A user will need to enter a username and password like
on a web form.

I would yet prefer the approach Ben has suggested if it can be managed.
