Project Server 2007 Risk Registry

R

Rob

Project Server 2007 has a very nice and customizable risk registry that has
version control. We are currently using the registry and would like to use
the versioned data from these risks to conduct trend analysis. I am having
trouble finding where MS stores this data. I do know that it has to be in
the SQL server (part of Project 2007 EPM). Yet not to sure where.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Project Server questions are better answered in the Project Server news
group, but to answer the question, the Risk data (all versions) is in the
SharePoint database. The current data is also available in the
MSP_WssRiskToTaskLinks_UserView View in the Reporting database.

Rob,

Project Server stores any risk related data in Sharepoint sites, so the data
will actually be present in Sharepoint database. Sharepoint stores most of
the site data in its content database which begins with WSS_Content. You can
find from central administration which web app is connected to which database.

Open Sharepoint Central Admin
Click Application Management
In the web application section click content databases
Make sure the correct web app is selected in the dropdown in the right top
section

Pl. be careful on refering any backend data from sharepoint, but that should
be the datasource you are looking for.

Hope this helps. Pl. do consider rating the post if it is helpful.
