Project Server encountered a problem with this error code : 9573

Vikas Mehra

I'm not sure if there is a connection to our other issue we're having -- the
other issue refers to the resources across our 12 projects...our staff can
work on up to 7 projects at once - when the resources were added to the
project the option to replace with the same resource name in the global
resource pool came up and was accepted -- so we believed that we only had 1
reference for each resource. Now however we've found 2 'types' of some of the
resources (ie. some of the people) in the projects - one local and one
global. In the plans we can't tell which is which to replace one with the
other.

See, Vikas, I too am getting this 9573 error thing whenever I try to
open a project. The problem is even the experts (like Mr. Chefetz)
who know the 'cure' to most Project Server problems do not know what
to do in this case. (based on my search results for "9573" in this
group).

I'm using the trial version and so don't have technical support
rights, but I was hoping that if you have purchased the software, you
might be able to contact them and ask what can be done... There are
other posts regarding this error and MS should probably know how to
solve such a popular bug.

Thanks,
Amir

Amir:

The problem is that the error doesn't have one specific cause, as is the
case for most of the errors people see. In these cases, diagnosis requires
more than brief posts in news groups.
