Project Underway, New GANTT

I have joined a project that has been underway for some time. No planning had
previously been done. I have built a GANTT and now I need to represent the
actual finish date on closed tasks (deliverables that have already shipped)
without affecting the incomplete tasks. What is the best way to accomplish
this?

How about if you just key them in and mark them 100% with a real date in the
past?
As long as they have no successor tasks that are "incomplete" you should
have no problem.
