Prompt for save when save just performed

I

Ian A. White

Hi,

I am running Office 2000 Premium having upgraded from Office 97.
Everything has gone relatively smoothly, except that I get prompted to
save the document in Word 2000 even though the immediately preceding
command was to save the document (either from the toolbar button, File
menu, or Ctrl+S).

This only happens if the document has a field. I do have the option to
update fields before printing and as with Office 97, I get a prompt to
save after sending a file to be printed. What is odd is that saving
after I print and then trying to close Word sees an alert asking me to
save again.

As a test I have responded No and checked the file and it is saved as
when I just saved prior to closing, so there should be no more changes
(which there aren't).

Is there some setting I am missing that is causing Word to modify a
variable that makes it think that the save just carried out was not
carried out?
