Microsoft Picture Manager "Save As.."

Hi, I have a general question about Microsoft Picture manager. When I do a
"Save As" I get the pop-up and can save the document as a different name.

but after I close the window, I'm still editing the original document! This
seems to be different than every other office program. If in word and do a
"Save As" when your done saving you are then editing the new "saved as"
version.

Is there anyway to change this setting so that it behaves more like other
office programs?

Thanks,
Dave

Picture Manager is a different duck. The "edit" is applied to ALL the
pictures you have selected, one, two, or five of them it doesn't matter.
The reason you are "still editing the original" is because the original
is still selected.

okay, so say I want to take an orginal, save it as a different name, then
edit that image.
1) open original
2) do a save as
3) close orignial
4) go find new saved image
5) edit new saved image

isn't there a shorter route?

Copy the original to a new file
Edit the new file

R-click, Copy, navigate, Paste, Edit.
