PST File Diff???

What is the difference in the Office 2003 .pst file and
the older XP (and below) .pst file? I Noticed a choice
when connecting a .pst file as in which version you want
to use. I had a XP version .pst file and upon
installation of 2k3, I lost a folder and the file become
corrupt. Had to run scan.pst against it to recover.

If they are considerable diff between xp and 2k3 version
of the .pst, is there a scanpst.exe file version for 2k3?

thanks

The Outlook 2003 file supports Unicode, is effectively unlimited in size,
and is not backwards compatible with earlier versions of Outlook. Outlook
2003 installs an updated version of Scanpst.exe

Sue was correct, but didn't answer the question you didn't ask. You should
be able to use the old-style ANSI format PST with Outlook 2003 without
corruption. It is not normal for OL 2003 to ruin an ANSI PST.
