Pst. Issues

I use Outlook 2007 and I am having several interrelated issues:

1) My default Pst. file must have gotten too large, b/c I can not empty my
deleted items folder (and no I can not delete them one by one either). My
sent items folder also indicated that it is full.

I have tried repeadetdly to autoarchive to prevent my default pst. from
getting too big, but it never works. Every time I click autoarchive, nothing
happens.

2) So here's where I'm at. I have created a second Pst., but I am not sure
how to copy certain data items over. Namely, my contacts and calendar items,
etc. Also, I run Plaxo (a contacts manager software that works in
conjunction with outlook) and when I activate the new Pst. file Plaxo asks to
be set up again, which I don't want to have to do.

Any help would be much appreciated? This is a very frusterating problem.
Thanks

I have no knowledge of Plaxo; that being said OL2007 as OL2003 can cope with
a pst of about 20gb
Is your pst a unicode version or are you still using an old version created
pre OL2003?
What size is the pst?

You simply copy from one pst to the other

I think that it is OL2002. I am not sure how to check if its a unicode
version. The pst size is 75,000 KB.

Also, I don't think that you can't just click and drag (or copy paste)
contacts or calendar items from one pst to the other like you do with email.
If I am incorrect, please advise...

75MB is a rather small PST file. To copy items from one PST file to
another, drag-and-drop items or folder from within Outlook.
