Pub 2002 Saving File From Template

M

Mrs. Olmsted

I recently created a 6 page newsletter (black and white)
from the "Fall" template with no clip art and a few images
(pictures). After saving the file is 20.3 MB. Previous
newsletters I have created which are ten pages with tons
of clip art and pictures are over 1MB. What can I do to
get the file where it should be in size and/or what should
I have done.

Thanks!

What version of Publisher are you using?
Do you have photos in this publication?

I am using Publisher 2002
Yes there are photos in this newsletter (they are in
previous newsletters as well)

Is there anything particular that has changed compared to previous
newsletters (a different editor, a different person scanning photos, a
different digital camera?)
What resolution are the photos being scanned at?

Brian,
I opened up the template and made changes to suit my needs
and thus end up with a 20.3 MB file! This is the first
time I have ever used a MS Template to create a
newsletter. I deleted and/or cut a lot of the items in
the existing template.

The pictures and could even be some content you have deleted has remained in
the Publisher file.

You will have to make a new file

This bug was fixed in Publisher 2003 as far as I can see.
