Publisher 2003 odd problem

G

GTS

Spent all morning editing a pubisher document, saving as I went. Once
finished printed multiple copies - all fine.
But then I sent a copy of the document (directly from the Windows folder),
and I have just discovered that the version they recieved was the document
before I did all the editing that day!
How is this possible?

No I did not attach it until it was completed.

Sorry - what I asked is if you received the Publisher file attached to an
email before you started to edit it.

I see yes I did receive the original by email, and then saved it on my C:
drive.

Did you send the edited file back to the person who originally created it? Could
be the recipient is opening their file and not yours, especially if it has the
same name.

Using Windows Explorer, take a look at the location where you think you
saved it. Look at the rev date. Is that the correct date?

Yes I think I see the problem now - the properties for the version I sent
shows a path pointing to the document in temporary internet files - looks
like they got a version from the temp folder instead of the 'proper' version.
Thank you for the pointer.

That's a very common problem - and training others to look where they save
files is a daunting task. I've been trying to teach the guys here but it's a
long hard road.
