Can you explain how I would add anchors (or i think bookmarks) to link
sections in a long web based document. Something that would say "top" to
return you to the top of the page.

This is improved in 2007. You can Insert > Bookmark on any page in your
document, and drag it to any place on the page. Then create a text box with
an arrow symbol or perhaps just the word "top", select the text/symbol >
insert hyperlink > Place in this document and select the anchor/bookmark
that you inserted. Do a web page preview to test.

In the future I would suggest that you post any web design questions in the
web group: microsoft.public.publisher.webdesign and we will try to help you
