change them back?

It hasn't actually changed anything in the files themselves, it's just told
Windows to open files of that extension with a particular application. The
are various ways to change it back, but one very simple method is to right
click one of your picture files (a jpg, perhaps) and select "Open With".
You'll see a list of various programs that are capable of opening that file
and PhotoShop will probably be one of them, but do not select it yet. Before
you do anything else, place a tick in the little box against "Always use the
selected program to open this kind of file". Then click the PhotoShop item
in the list and then click the OK button. Your photo will now open up in
PhotoShop, and so will any other jpg photo that you later double click. You
need to follow exactly the same procedure for all the other various picture
file types that you normally use (.bmp for example). By the way, if
PhotoShop does not appear in the list of available choices then click the
"Browse" button (after placing a tick in the little box as mentioned before)
and browse to the PhotoShop executable (.exe file), wherever it is on your
machine.
