Publisher drawing tools

When I use the publisher drawing tools to make a drawing
inside a picture frame, the drawing is nice an crisp while
I am inside the picture frame, but becomes very distorted
when I go outside the frame. Any Ideas?

What version of Publisher are you using?
What version of Windows are you using?
What version of the Drawing Tools are you using?

Thank you for your reply. I am using Windows XP
Professional, with Publisher 2000, and, please excuse, but
I do not know how to tell whisch version of Drawing Tools.
I will continue trying to find out, (can you help?).
I open a new publisher document and go to insert /
picture / new drawing. In the new drawing box I attempt to
use the drawing tools. They all work well, until I go
outside the box, (or, de-select the box), at that point
the drawing becomes distorted. Help is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are using Microsoft Draw 98.
Have you installed the updates from http://office.microsoft.com?
How do the drawings print?

Dear Ed,
The pictures also print distorted, exactly as they appear
when I exit the 'New Drawing Box'. I am frantically
searching for a way to see what version of 'Draw' I have,
as the draw program does not seem to be a program by
itself, but more as something that is attached to
Publisher or Word. Please excuse my naivete with this
issue. I am working on finding the version and making the
update as required.
I thank you kindly for your gracious replies. I apologize
for the communication breakdown from my side. (I'm new at
this news group thing).
