Publisher just started printing wrong colors

This problem just started today, and only when using Publisher

A deep blues sky is printing orange, and pink skin is printing light blue. I
tried printing the jpg outside of Publisher, and it looks fine. I've changed
the color scheme in Publisher to black, and black/grey, but that did
nothing. I changed ink cartridges (both the black and the tri-color) and ran
the HP utility to clean the print heads, all to no avail.

Any suggestions?

TIA

What version Publisher?
Publisher is more critical about printer drivers. Check with HP for an updated
driver. They also have good support documents.
In Publisher 2000 tools, options, print tab, check "print line by line."
When you are ready to print, click on advanced print settings on the print dialogue
page, check "improve screen and printer matching."
Reverse these actions if they didn't help. It is no doubt your driver.

Thanks for the reply, Mary.

It's Publisher 2003 SP2 on Windows XP SP2.

I tried "print line by line" but couldn't find an "improve screen and
printer matching" option under advanced print settings. I am using the
latest printers from HP's web site. (The printer is an HP Photosmart 7350.
The driver file from HP's site is 4241_enu_w2k_xp).

I checked a box to auto-preview, and the preview is also showing the wrong
colors (which will at least save me some ink in troubleshooting.)

Publisher 2003 doesn't have the "Improve screen...." dialogue.

From the HP support
Colors are tinted or incorrect
A print cartridge malfunction has been known to cause incorrect colored printing.
Workaround
The print cartridge needs to be calibrated. Please follow the next steps to do it:
Load plain white paper in the In tray
Make sure the printer is connected to a computer
Open the printer Toolbox and click the Device Services tab.
Click the Calibrate the device icon.
Click Calibrate and follow the on-screen instructions.
Remove the plain paper from the In tray and load photo paper instead of it.
Reprint the photograph.
