publisher not working with Outlook

I have downloaded a trial version of the Microsoft Publisher to test it out
and see what the newsletter would look like once completed and emailed. I
completed the newsletter however I can't seem to get it to work with my
outlook , I have made outlook my default email program (microsoft office XP)
then I restarted publisher but I dont think the changes took effect as I am
still unable to email the newsletter and the publisher is still asking me to
make outlook my default email prog.

Any feedback on what I might be doing wrong?
