I'm so glad you can't see me chuckling.

But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain;
The best-laid schemes o' mice an 'men
Gang aft agley,
An'lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy! .

JoAnn,

How do you know I can't? I guess you have not heard about the ICU virus
that can be embedded in an e-mail?

Can Publisher 2000 be opened in Publisher 98?

No, but Publisher 2000 has the facility to go to File > Save As... >
Publisher 98, and save files that Publisher 98 can read.

Allow me to correct you...

According to "Microsoft", all future pub files will open in Publisher 2002
and later. Meaning, same file type, not requiring a user to Save As.
Publisher 12 (upcoming version) is supposed to be the same way. So far, so
good!

I'm a speed man - it takes too long to move my hand all the way over from
the keyboard to the mouse, and it takes too long to trawl through menus with
the mouse.
This way, I can finish typing a message, send, go to the next message, read
it, all without my hands leaving the keyboard.
