when Importing from word to publisher the file freezes if it more than 4
pages also the art work is not imported at all. Im trying to get pages or
sections a catalog that was made using word and iIwant to transfer it to
publisher.

You may have to transfer the picture separately.
Try this:
Create a text box in Publisher, right-click the box, click *change text*, click
*text file*, browse to the Word file.
