publishing in FrontPage 2003

I work directly on my website and then periodically
publish back to my computer as a backup (saves lots of
time)

QUESTION: as soon as i installed FrontPage 2003 I started
getting "server timeout" messages while publishing. Get
the same message with FrontPage 2003 or my previous
FrontPage 2000.

Is there a solution?

1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Open your site and run Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks, the File Publish Site and select ALL pages at least once to get the sites in
sync

IMHO you should work the opposite way
- Work on your local and Publish to your remote
Your way
- any errors in your online site are live, and many are not reversible
