OK. You're got a problem with mixed character sets. Character sets
define what keys exist on the keyboard, and how each key is rendered when
you type. If the sender and the recipient are using the same character
set, then they won't have the problem that you've described. However, if
the sender and recipient are using different character sets, then some
characters will not be rendered properly on the recipient's end. Most
commonly, the problem characters are certain punctuation marks.
This often happens when one person has a Windows PC and another a Mac.
But it can also happen when both people are using a Windows PC.
Have your senders and recipients look in their e-mail progams' Help
material for information on how to determine which character set they're
using. They can usually change that setting so that they'll be using the
same character set. Some character sets are more universal than others,
though. You can find out more about this with a Google search.
Best of luck,
Jacques
